amp. The alpine is fine if you like the features or the brand, but a simple two channel american made amp with a crossover built in is always my choice. Then when you upgrade, you don't really have to upgrade the amps in your sound system as they are fundamentally as good as new or better than some new gadget laden equipment. You will get advice on lots of brands and the ones you mentioned will work fine. I would get the likes of a Rockford Fosgate, Phoenix Gold, MTX, Precision Power, before the most others though. Make sure the sub has enough power even though the Cerwin Vegas are very efficient (lotsa bump/watt) and properly crossed over at 120 hz or less.....Good luck. Jeff : mtx, sony?? : any idea, anyone got the hookups on these??? : Thanks : Yunus
